Woke up at 6:00 to get to WW by 9:00 since I didn’t get an email back. Got a mooring ball! Not sure what I expected but was way more wide open and boats closer together; the boat right in front of us is super closer (you’d never anchor so close). More of a social scene than I thought. Absolutely beautiful. 60’ cat behind us played bad music, trawler in front ran generator from 4:30-6:30pm and again next morning for two hours. Fumes and noise. UGH.
Hiked Boo Boo hill—challenging and great to add our name to the pile. Second day hiked to Barefoot Beach accidentally then tried snorkeling, then walked through water to Butterfly Beach. Lame snorkeling, unfortunately. Really challenging hike back.
Highlight was huge manta rays circling the boat in late afternoon! Jumped in water to snorkel with them but kept my distance (mostly because of current but also their super long tails).
