Uneventful, pretty comfortable, downright boring crossing back to the US, which made for a funny contrast to how nervous we were about the initial crossing to the Bahamas. (Although to be fair, the forecast in December was dicier.) Of course it helped that there were dozens of other boats in view off and on throughout the day, unlike our first crossing when we were out there alone.

The Stuart inlet was a little stressful on a beautiful Friday afternoon with lots of boat traffic. But when we got into the marina we were greeted at our slip by our pals Thom and Francine from Bon Vivant! It was so great to see them again—first time since we met up by chance at Bayou Joe’s in Panama City back in mid-November. Had dinner with them and Rayeanne & Bill from Gratitude (who we hadn’t seen since Tennesee) at the terrible Asian buffet onsite.

I’m finding it hard to wrap my head around being back in the US and having our Bahamas travels behind us. It’s hard not to be crabby about it!
