Got a text from Kathy Janoski this morning after she saw our FB post about Cumberland last night. She's on St Simon now (!) so we made arrangements to connect. Stayed at Jekyll Harbor Marina which I loved. Beautiful shady grounds with cute restaurant, pool, and hot tub. Very nice staff, nice people on the docks. Free loaner car, golf cart, bikes. 

Kathy and her friend Barbara came over to boat to say hi and we decided to meet later. We used the courtest car to get groceries and drive around island. Then Kathy and Barbara took us to Driftwood Beach, which was amazing--way more than I was imaging. Huge trees toppled with roots exposed. So glad we went.
