We picked up Ray and Emily from the airport around 10:30am—yay! So great to see them. Walked around and shopped then had lunch at Millers All Day, which was good. Got the kids checked into the hotel and then went to Boone Hall Plantation which has several preserved enslaved peoples quarters and a large house. The big house that we toured was nice enough but built in 1935, so that was kind of odd. We were a little late to fully explore but the grounds were lovely. Had dinner at Page’s Okra Grill because it was a place we could get in--pretty good food. Went from there to the beach for sunset.
