Andrew rode bike in the morning while I chatted with passersby including someone who worked for the FBI and had dreamed of doing the Loop (and follows the Looper groups on Facebook).

Went to state park for short hike and checked out history center—great place, but didn’t see any bears, darn it. Cruised with a few other boats to next bridge and fortunately we were first so the water ahead of us was undisturbed.

Crossed into Virginia, our 12th state!

Stayed on the wall over night. Andrew rode his bike a bit and had a beer with Alex on Friendship. Quiet night.
