Hardly slept at all as it felt like the boat was slammed around all night. A little beamy—not anywhere as bad at Castaway Cay but still kinda hard to sleep. Wanted to have the Polts onto the boat for breakfast and give some of them a ride into town, but the wind was really whipped up.
So we had breakfast poolside, which was very nice. Really nice to see all of them! Leaving the dock was a nightmare—one of the worst times ever. We kind of bounced off of pilings (in the narrow fairway) til we could get aimed in the right direction (I finally thought to wrap a line around a piling to help us pivot). The current and wind were so strong we could barely overcome it.
Things didn't improve much as we got out into the more open water with probably 4' waves at 2 second periods. Not exactly on the beam, fortunately, but books and other things went sliding off shelves and countertops, and it was uncomfortable and unsafe to move around. At a couple points I put my lifejacket on—I was afraid the boat might not be able to take it. Definitely a Top 5 worse cruises. Andrew felt sick.
Got in around 2:00 and needed to nap for an hour or so. Folks from nearby boat came by and invited us to have a drink in town; walked around town then met them and See Ya Later for a badly needed drink. Went to the Greek place (good) for dinner then back to the boat for a calm evening in a lovely anchorage,
