Today is Robin’s birthday so it was awesome to be able to take her on such a great cruise—this stretch of the river is jaw dropping and among the best scenery we’ve seen of the Loop.

Docking at Cornwall was a challenge—stern in only—but they helped us get situated. Then we had to deploy the dinghy to get off the boat from the swim platform since there wasn’t really a dock. Our Looper friend Thom picked us up and drove all of us back to his and Francine’s house for Aperol Spritzes, then Thom and Andrew drove the Millers to the train.

Thom and Francine took us to dinner at the Culinary Institute, which was fun to do — there are a few restaurants on site, all staffed (chefs and servers) by students. Some of the food was excellent, some just okay. I got to sleep in a real bed! Woo hoo!
